My work is about being near the sea: from walks in Purbeck along beach and cliff to the icy seas and mountain shapes of the far North.
Thriving in colder climates and winter sun ...the colours naturally reflect this.
Painting from being there, from sketches, and memory…work focusing on light and movement of and on the water, and the bird life around.
With freedom and expression, the work looks deep within the atmosphere of a place and reflects thoughts, emotions, colours of the moment.
I am inspired by the coastline, watching tides and small birds running.
