Jenny Aitken
Jenny
is a professional artist living and working in Belper, Derbyshire.
In 2007 she was awarded the title of Derbyshire Life Artist of the Year,
and has been featured In several publications including Art of England
and Derbyshire Life magazine. She exhibits work regularly around the UK.
Her passion is for landscape, both dramatic and still. She conveys the
sense of a place both with her personal reaction to the land and her knowledge
of the elements therein: the history of a place, the weather and change
of seasons, the passage of time and of people passing through.
She works in oils and acrylics, with a malleable style sensitive to the
subject and emotion she wishes to communicate.
