Philip Gray
Philip
Gray was born in Cork, and his passion for the sea can be traced back
to a childhood in Cork.
A creative and adventurous spirit was inherited from his mother’s
side of the family, a lineage that very fittingly nurtured both sailors
and artists. Amongst siblings there is a graphic designer and an interior
designer, so creativity is certainly in his blood.
A Navy life was a great awakening and taught Philip about many aspects
of life that he had not yet experienced. At that time, he had the great
fortune of having a unique perspective of Irish landscapes and seascapes
as seen from the Atlantic Ocean.
Philip Gray's vision was to use his art to develop a print collection thereby allowing him to further pursue a desire to become a full-time artist and at the same time secure the source through which he could channel his work.
