chose me from an early age, for I had a passion for drawing and painting
as a young child, and I’ve had tunnel vision ever since.
I studied art at Willesden Art School from age fourteen to sixteen; then at Hornsey Art School for a four year diploma course (N.D.D.): traditional art school training with an emphasis on painting, drawing and design. I was then employed by two art studios in London, illustrating for a broad range of accounts, from fashion to Pirelli tyres!
At age twenty four I became a freelance artist, supplying a variety of work for several London advertising agencies, magazines and newspapers. On leaving London for a country life style, I illustrated numerous books, including The Evergreen Wood, (a 'mousy' version of The Pilgrim's Progress) which I did in collaboration with my wife, Linda. I also produced works for television: Dangerous Journey; Perilous Voyage; and Princess and the Goblin.
More recently I changed the focus of my career, fulfilling a life long ambition, and became a full time painter. I use as subject matter scenes from the countryside around me and places I have visited.
