Bev Miller
Bev was born and educated in Christchurch, Dorset, and later studied graphic design and illustration at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art.
She has developed her own unique, vibrant style working in acrylics, painting the Dorset coast and New Forest, of which she has a great love. Her interest in local features along the Jurassic Coast include Lulworth Cove, Kimmeridge and Old Harry Rocks.
Bev works from Sketches and colour notes backed up by photographs, she feels that artists can inject colour and imagination into an often grey world. Her technique includes laying on textures, spattering, scratching and rubbing; searching for a combination of delicate detailed areas contrasting with and balanced by flatter looser areas. More paint is added, pastel scribbles appear, layers added, vibrant and bright.
She exhibits regularly in galleries in Christchurch, Swanage, Wareham and Bournemouth; has had a large number of solo shows both locally and in London, Henley-on-thames, Dorchester, and Salisbury.
