Exhibitions & Spotlights 2013

We find there is always something to celebrate. This year The Mulberry Tree celebrate seven years in business.

Like all outgoing seven year olds, we've been putting a lot of thought into our birthday bash. So, following hot on the heels of the Purbeck Art Weeks (25th May to 9th June), will be our summer show 'A Bit of a Do'. Running from Saturday 20th July to 31st August, we will show off, eat too much cake and make sure you all drink a bit of bubbly and join in the party.

Out and About Exhibition

Purbeck Art Weeks - "Out and About"

25th May - 14th June

As there's so much good stuff to show you, our exhibition will run a week beyond the official PAW Festival. It's called 'Out and About' and will include the work of the following artists:

Jenny Aitken, Sarah Hough, Paul Schilling, Richard Hooke, Colin Willey, Carolyn Pavey, Sarah Ross-Thompson and Paul Liggins

A Bit of A Do Exhibition

"A Bit of a Do"

20th July - 31st August

A Bit of A Do Exhibition

Happy Birthday to us! For our birthday, we would like you to come to our exhibition. You needn't bring a present, just buy yourself one instead...

Our Do is going to be themed as a lovely tea party and will feature some of our best loved artists. We realise we have a somewhat jumbled taste in art, so are splitting off those who come under the 'naive' school of art and those whose work is more classical.

Headlining the 'naive' artists; Louise Braithwaite with some new originals, Hannah Cole, Sasha Harding, Rebecca Lardner and Jane Colquhoun.

Our specially selected classical painters are Ben Spurling, Emily Morgan and Paul Allen.

Newbies on the walls at this summer exhibition are Hannah Hann, Therese James and Dawn Crowthers.

Art in Clay

Spotlights

Sometimes we look around the gallery and think 'there's so much lovely stuff in here, how can we make sure it all gets looked at?'.

So we had a collective brainwave and are pleased to present to you (drumroll.....) Spotlights. This ingenious idea is a way of focussing on one area of our stock, or one theme of colour or medium, to make things more palletable to you, our customers.

April - Charlie Says

With Spring springing, our spotlight in April will be on all things new in the Gallery. Saturday April 20th will see the launch of the new collections with drinks and nibbles at the gallery.
