Restoration
We are able to offer a full picture restoration service - to repair or simply rejuvenate your painting.
Whether your painting is by an unknown hand, by a lesser known artist or indeed, by a Great Master, it will be treated with equal respect and professionalism. Often, a painting is of enormous sentimental value to the owner, passed down as a family heirloom or merely a souvenir from a past holiday. By taking your picture for treatment, you will enable future generations of your family, to enjoy a painting whose ageing process has now been slowed down, and will once again be seen in fine condition, as the artist intended!
This service includes repair of torn or ripped canvasses, cleaning of 'foxing' (brown marks) on the painting, general cleaning work and canvas re-lining.
Please Note: no firm undertaking of price or results can be given without a physical examination of the artwork concerned. We will inform you in writing with the cost to restore your painting - upon acceptance, work will begin on the restoration.
