Anna Bowen
Having
studied brush-lettering with the John Stevens Shop, Rhode Island, USA,
Anna likes to use a pen or a brush as a starting point with much of her
work.
She carves different styles of lettering using carving techniques to suit
different stones and woods, and work big and small, for indoors or out,
personal and public.
She
is based in Dorset and works mainly to commission, fulfilling a craving
for lettering in stone and wood she uses a chisel-edged brush - a bit
like calligraphy - to address purpose, material and setting in creating
my lettered designs. She also teaches and works through the Burngate Centre,
just outside Worth Matravers, in Purbeck
