Tony Chance
Tony Chance has been a professional artist for more than 20 years. He has illustrated many books, and has become known more recently for his work on various Hollywood feature films, including American Beauty, Mission Impossible, Bridget Jones and Road to Perdition.
The weather and the sea are the subject of most of Tony's paintings. Very often they are images drawn from remote and wild areas of Britian. He works on location using a purpose built Landrover as a base. Studies done from life may become the final artwork, or used as reference for another piece in the studio.
"I love the drama that our climate creates. The effect that weather has on our landscape, how it affects light, and the challenge of trying to capture this in two dimensions."
We have been overwhelmed by the response to Tony's seascapes and waves - they have proved to be incrediby popular and fly out of the gallery!
