Doug Eaton

Doug Eaton

Doug Eaton's evocative landscapes show integrity and a uniquely skilled application of paint. Angular, vivid and resonating light, his paintings reveal the kind of abstract energy that can only be achieved through years of keen observation combined with confidence in his chosen medium and subject matter.

Widely recognised as a serious landscape artist, Doug's paintings explore line, shape and colour in extremes, marrying together opposing elements in a complex but engaging manner. Attracted by the abstract qualities of paint, he depicts the landscape as energetic, random and abrupt, rather than rounded and predictable.

Doug was accepted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2004 and is a member of H.Art and the Dobunni Painters. He currently has work in many private collections in the UK and abroad, whilst also exhibiting in the USA and Canada.
