Mary Sumner - Black Lamb & Starlings

Mary Sumner was born in rural Northamptonshire in 1957 and was schooled locally before studying at Northampton School of Art, West Surrey School of Art and later at Bristol University.
 
Over time Mary's style has evolved to capture glimpsed moments and moods of the ever-changing English countryside, coastal towns, rolling hills and animals going about their business. She produces detailed and intensely coloured pictures.
