Oliver has established himself as a successful landscape artist, working exclusively in watercolour.  With Oliver's work we explore the impact of light, the weather, and the seasons and how these combine to achieve paintings that are evocative and atmospheric.

Having been on holiday to Swanage for many years and visiting the County regularly too, Purbeck is 'second home' for Oliver; "For me Purbeck has everything, especially contrast. On the one hand there are the gentle, sweeping bays of Swanage and Studland but also the rugged coastline at Seacombe and Kimmeridge; and the verdant, rolling Purbeck hills set at variance to the windswept, open heathland of Godlingston and Arne for example. What I love about Purbeck is that there is always something to paint, the ephemeral, coastal light constantly creating new and fresh perspectives."
